Ashleigh Kitchiner’s October solo adventure didn’t go to plan. - but maybe that’s the point. From Glasgow to Arran and back, she discovered that detours can be just as wild, inspiring, and rewarding as the routes you plot months in advance. Highlights? Meeting passionate marine conservationists, soaking up community-led projects, and learning that sometimes the adventure isn’t about the miles you cover, but the perspective you gain. Thinking of chasing your own challenge but hesitating? Ashleigh’s story proves that a little encouragement (and a lot of waterproofs) can turn stormy setbacks into unforgettable adventures. The Adventure Queen Grant 2025 is officially LIVE 🌟 We’re on the hunt for three incredible women who are ready to take on their biggest human-powered adventure yet – whether that’s hiking, cycling, running, paddling, or something totally unique. Each winner will receive: ✨ £250 Alpkit voucher ✨ An Osprey pack (worth up to £300) ✨ Komoot Premium subscription ✨ £170 cash ✨ An Adventure Queen mentor to support you along the way If your idea will push you outside your comfort zone, create lasting impact, and take you on a journey of at least a few days, we want to hear about it. 📅 Applications are open NOW until 30 November. 🚨 The Adventure Queen Grant is BACK! 🚨 We’re on the lookout for three bold women adventurers ready to take on their biggest human-powered adventure yet. Think bikepacking, hiking, running, cycling, maybe even pogo’ing your way into something that will push you outside your comfort zone. ✨ Each winner will receive: £250 Alpkit voucher An Osprey pack (worth up to £300) Komoot Premium subscription (worth £79.99) £170 cash An Adventure Queen mentor to cheer you on and share wisdom 🌍 Adventures can be here in the UK or further afield, and should last at least a few days.
