Join us for our adventure book club on the third Thursday of every month!
How it works:
1) Read the book in advance of the discussion
2) Join the event via zoom
3) The moderator will introduce the event and the format
4) Discuss! (nb. if the group is large we will go into break out groups to ensure we keep the nice intimate “book club” feel)
Optional: feel free to indulge in a glass of wine, cocktail or cup of tea though as this is a virtual event it is definitely BYOB
How to join:
Head to our main Facebook group and you’ll see the Adventure Book Club in the Events section. Join the event and the Zoom details will be shared with the community in time for you to join. (We don’t share the zoom links on the website – only within the closed Facebook group)
Our Next Book: Thursday 15th November
About the book: Hidden Nature
Leaving her garden to the mercy of the slugs, the Guardian’s award-winning writer Alys Fowler set out in an inflatable kayak to explore Birmingham’s canal network, full of little-used waterways where huge pike skulk and kingfishers dart.
Her book is about noticing the wild everywhere and what it means to see beauty where you least expect it. What happens when someone who has learned to observe her external world in such detail decides to examine her internal world with the same care?
